Events and Activities, Student Achievements

Year 5 students enjoyed a wonderful day of hands-on learning in the Gold Rush interactive experience. Set in thick bushland and designed as a simulated New South Wales goldfield township from 1854, the day gave students the opportunity to step into the past and experience history in a memorable and engaging way.

Throughout the excursion, students arrived dressed in 1850’s costumes and were immersed in role-plays, tent making, observation and mapping activities. They explored the daily life of the goldfields, where businesses were active, licences were bought, and gold was sought and exchanged. This authentic learning experience helped bring classroom learning to life in a meaningful and exciting way.
