Year Three, students collaborated to order numbers for place value by working in small groups.
Each group was given a set of number cards, and their task was to arrange them in ascending order based on place value. They discussed and compared the digits in each place, from the hundreds to the ones, to determine the correct order. This collaborative activity not only helped them understand the concept of place value but also enhanced their fluency in recognizing and manipulating numbers. By working together, they developed their communication skills and reinforced their mathematical understanding, making them more confident and proficient in handling numbers.
