Arbor Day

Arbor Day has a special meaning to us in Catholic Schools. This day encourages individuals and communities to connect with nature and to recognise the sacramentality of the natural world. The concept of sacramentality suggests that the Earth and its resources are not merely commodities for human exploitation but hold value and significance. Trees, as a symbol of life and growth, exemplify this sacramentality, reminding us of our responsibility as stewards of the planet.
Arbor Day encourages us to appreciate the divine presence in nature and to act as responsible custodians of our Earth.

Students of all year levels planted trees from The Council around our school and they have become the caretakers of these trees, so the trees thrive and bring shade and new life to our environment.
