Book Week
Book Week

We had a wonderful Book Week! .ExternalClass p.p1 { } Prep, Year One, Year Two and Year Three had a ball taking part in drama workshops themed around Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book, Matilda. These workshops were especially designed by our friends at Speak Up! to celebrate the power of books through drama during Book Week. .ExternalClass p.p1 { } Students in Years Four, Five and Six were very fortunate to have an audience with Walkley award-winning journalist, broadcaster, and author, Antony Funnell from the ABC. Antony spoke at length to the kids about his inspiration for writing and his tips for making writing easier. If the number of questions he fielded at the end of his talk is any indication, the students were very engaged, and definitely took away some valuable information to help them with their writing in the future. In addition there were activities in the iCentre and our famous Photo Competition where students were photographed reading in their secret reading place. These masterpieces are displayed on the school portal (School login required.)The grand finale came at the end of the week with our Book Week Parade when many of our favourite characters came to life! See some of these below.
